Pre-made dishes will meet the first national standard.
On February 6th, the National Health Commission publicly solicited opinions on the national standard for the safety of pre-packaged food, focusing on provisions for food safety and nutritional health aspects of pre-packaged food. The standard clarifies the definition of pre-packaged food, as well as the use of ingredients, food additives, production processes, nutritional quality, packaging, labeling, operation processes, and product quality requirements. Among them, preservatives are not allowed to be added in the production and processing of pre-packaged food, and the use of food additives other than preservatives is strictly controlled.
