On February 5th local time, an attack against Senator Jairo Castillo in Arauca province, Colombia resulted in two deaths. The attack occurred while Castillo was not in the vehicle. The attacked vehicle belonged to Castillo's work team, and at the time of the incident, he was participating in a local campaign event, leading to the deaths of two security personnel.
