China Telecom and China Unicom approved for Beidou short message service.

Recently, China Telecom and China Unicom officially received approval from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology for commercial experiments of the BeiDou-3 short message public application. This means that China Telecom and China Unicom users can use terminals that support BeiDou short messages to send text messages through BeiDou satellites without changing their SIM cards or phone numbers.
