The "Guangdong Province's 2026 Large-Scale Equipment Update and Consumer Goods Trade-In Program" has been officially released. In terms of consumer goods trade-in, Guangdong will continue to implement subsidies for scrapping and updating cars, as well as subsidies for trading in household appliances, placing more emphasis on green, low-carbon, safe, and intelligent products. The program proposes that car scrapping and updating, car replacement and updating, trade-ins for 6 categories of household appliances, and the purchase of 4 categories of digital and smart products will follow unified support categories and subsidy standards in accordance with national requirements, and localities are not allowed to expand or increase the standards on their own. In terms of supporting the purchase of digital and smart products, in addition to existing categories such as phones, tablets, and smart watches, smart glasses will be added, with a single sale price not exceeding 6000 yuan, and a subsidy of 15% of the product's sales price. Each consumer can be subsidized for one piece of each product category, with each subsidy not exceeding 500 yuan. The program also proposes subsidies for the purchase of smart home products, with specific subsidy categories and standards to be reasonably set by the provincial Department of Commerce in conjunction with relevant departments based on actual conditions.
