Danske Bank: Demand for Italy's new 15-year government bonds proves that this maturity is popular.
Stefan Mellin of Danske Bank stated in a report that on Tuesday, Italy issued a new batch of 15-year Italian government bonds through a syndicate, with strong market demand. This proves that this maturity type is becoming increasingly popular. The sale of 14 billion euros in bonds attracted over 157 billion euros in subscription demand. For the Eurozone government bond market, the 15-20 year maturity type is becoming the preferred choice at the long end, rather than the 30-year maturity type. The demand for ultra-long-term global government bonds has been declining since last year.
