Supreme People's Procuratorate: Prosecuted 717 people for securities crimes and private equity fund crimes in the first 11 months of last year.

On February 4th, Du Xueyi, member of the Procuratorate Committee of the Supreme People's Procuratorate and Director of the Economic Crime Procuratorate, expressed during an interview with the Supreme People's Procuratorate Director that the healthy development of the capital market plays a key role in maintaining the confidence in the economic development of the whole society, enriching residents' wealth, and assisting in the development of new productive forces. Securities and futures crime cases have a significant social impact, high financial risks, and require specialized expertise, drawing high concern from the central leadership and attention from the people. The economic crime procuratorate department resolutely implements the central leadership's deployment. From January to November 2025, a total of 717 individuals were prosecuted nationwide for securities and private equity fund crimes, with a significant increase in the number of prosecutions for financial fraud and securities market manipulation crimes, increasing by 19% and 57.4% respectively compared to the previous year. This conveys a strong determination to maintain market order and protect investor interests to society. The Supreme People's Procuratorate fully utilizes the institutional advantages of its dispatched procuratorate office to strictly crack down on securities and futures crimes. From January to November 2025, the Supreme People's Procuratorate transferred 166 securities crime cases to various regions, with 12 major financial fraud cases and 8 major private equity fund crime cases put on priority supervision. Major cases such as Hefu Holdings, Jinzhou Port, Jintongling, Meishang Ecological, Zijing Storage, Shengtong Group, Huacheng Group and others, which have attracted high social attention, have been prosecuted according to law, forming a strong deterrent. Local procuratorial organs corrected the mistakes in 39 cases, pursued criminal appeals in 5 cases, sending a strong signal of the procuratorial organs' strengthening of legal supervision. Du Xueyi stated that in the next step, procuratorial organs will continue to play their functional role, solidify the legal foundation of the capital market, protect the legitimate rights and interests of investors, and promote the stable and healthy development of the capital market.
