Elon Musk's team secretly visited several solar companies in China, who is partnering with SpaceX?
According to sources familiar with the matter who spoke to Neng Jian Pai, the Musk team recently made a secret visit to several solar photovoltaic companies in China to inspect projects involving equipment, silicon wafers, battery components, and other aspects. The focus of the inspection was on photovoltaic companies with heterojunction and perovskite technology routes. Some photovoltaic companies confirmed this visit to Neng Jian Pai, stating "we did indeed have contact with the Musk team, and the details of the inspection need to be kept confidential." A person from a photovoltaic company who has previously been in contact with the Musk team said that they met with technical experts from the Musk team, "they mainly wanted to understand the current situation of relevant industries in China. I don't think SpaceX is likely to purchase photovoltaic components from Chinese manufacturers, so the probability of purchasing equipment is higher." This person said that it is still unclear in what capacity Chinese companies will participate in this. Another source mentioned that there are rumors within the industry that the Musk team is considering purchasing HJT battery production lines, "because HJT battery production lines are highly automated and require less labor, making them suitable for production in the United States." It is known that the Musk team also contacted equipment companies during this visit. Neng Jian Pai, in the capacity of an investor, asked several companies' investment departments if they had received the Musk team. Dongfang Rise responded, "they did not come to the company." Junda Corporation stated, "there have been some technical exchanges in the early stages, but we are not very familiar with the details." Qian Zhao Optoelectronics said, "we have not received any such information, but if we did, it would also be kept confidential."
