On February 4th, during an interview with the Chief Procurator of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, Du Xueyi, a member of the Committee of the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the head of the Economic Crime Procuratorate, pointed out that the current crimes endangering food and drug safety are showing trends of industrialization, chaining, and networking. The procuratorial organs always adhere to the party central committee's "four strictest" requirements, rigorously crack down on crimes endangering food safety according to law, and effectively safeguard the lives and health of the people. Du Xueyi introduced that the Supreme People's Procuratorate is increasing its supervision and guidance on major complex cases. In the next step, the procuratorial organs will continue to maintain high pressure on crimes endangering food and drug safety, deeply investigate the upstream and downstream industrial chain, further improve the connection mechanism between law enforcement and prosecution in the field of food and drug safety, enhance the procuratorial capacity, and effectively safeguard the safety of the people's food.
