In November 2025, the procuratorial organs approved the arrest of more than 4,300 individuals involved in fraud in northern Myanmar, and prosecuted over 11,000 individuals.

On February 4th, during an interview with the Chief Procurator of the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Director of the Economic Crime Procuratorate, Du Xueyi, disclosed the achievements of the procuratorial organs in cracking down on telecommunications fraud cases by 2025. It is understood that from January to November 2025, procuratorial organs nationwide lawfully approved the arrest and repatriation of over 4300 individuals involved in fraud in Myanmar's northern region, prosecuted over 11,000 individuals, and formed a strong deterrent against cross-border telecommunications fraud. Next, procuratorial organs will rely on their prosecutorial functions to resolutely curb the trend of frequent and high occurrence of telecommunications fraud crimes, effectively safeguarding the public's sense of achievement, happiness, and security in the online space.
