Alphabet's self-driving subsidiary Waymo will defend its safety record in front of the United States Senate committee. Its written testimony shows that the number of traffic accidents resulting in serious injuries and more severe consequences caused by Waymo's self-driving vehicles is 90% less than similar accidents caused by human drivers.
