During the Spring Festival travel season, Shenzhen is expected to send 17 million passengers.

According to the Shenzhen Special Zone Daily, the 2026 Spring Festival travel rush officially started yesterday. It was reported by the Shenzhen Spring Festival Travel Office that the expected number of passengers during this year's Spring Festival travel rush in Shenzhen will reach 17 million. It is predicted that during this period, the Shenzhen railway will send 12.1 million passengers, a 4% increase compared to the previous year; civil aviation will send 4.1 million passengers, a 5% increase; road transportation will send 500,000 passengers, a 57% decrease; and water transportation will send 300,000 passengers, a 9% increase. The total number of vehicles entering and exiting the city's highways during the Spring Festival travel rush is estimated to be about 32 million, with an average of 800,000 vehicles daily, a 2% increase compared to the previous year. The passenger flow at the Shenzhen-Hong Kong ports is expected to be 28 million people, with an average of 700,000 people daily, a 7% increase.
