Xiamen to Kinmen route during the Spring Festival travel rush is expected to transport over 200,000 passengers.

The 40-day Xiamen-Jinmen "small three links" passenger route officially began its Spring Festival operation on February 2nd. According to the Xiamen Frontier Inspection General Station Gaoqi Frontier Inspection Station, during the Spring Festival period, it is estimated that there will be 948 sailings entering and exiting Xiamen Wutong Port on the Xiamen-Jinmen route, transporting over 200,000 passengers. On the morning of the 2nd, the waiting hall at Xiamen Wutong Passenger Terminal was crowded with people. The bright red lanterns, exquisite Chinese knots, and decorations featuring horses filled the waiting hall with a festive atmosphere. Taiwan compatriot Wang Xiaodong is planning to take the Xiamen-Jinmen route to Jinmen and then to the main island of Taiwan. "The decorations in the waiting hall are very festive and auspicious, making people feel warm and lively. Taking the Xiamen-Jinmen route is very convenient, with many sailings and fast customs clearance, just like taking a bus." Yan Man, a police officer at the Gaoqi Border Inspection Station of the Xiamen Frontier Inspection General Station, introduced that in order to cope with the peak of passenger and cargo flow during the Spring Festival, the border inspection station relies on its independently developed intelligent customs clearance service system to issue real-time passenger flow reminders. During peak sailing periods, a continuous customs clearance check and release mode will be implemented. At the same time, smart express channels, emergency passenger guarantee channels, and large luggage channels will be open for the entire period to facilitate passengers for immediate inspection and fast customs clearance. In order to ensure the safe and convenient operation of the Xiamen-Jinmen route during the Spring Festival, the Xiamen Maritime Bureau has conducted a comprehensive inspection of operational vessels on the route, focusing on checking key equipment such as fire safety, life-saving equipment, and crew qualifications, to ensure the healthy operation of the vessels.
