China Unicom: Adjustment of the Scope of Value-Added Tax Items Applicable to Telecommunications Services

China Unicom announced that starting from January 1, 2026, the Ministry of Finance and the State Administration of Taxation have determined that the business activities providing mobile data services domestically will be classified from value-added telecommunications services to basic telecommunications services, and the corresponding value-added tax rate will increase from 6% to 9%. This adjustment in the scope of applicable tax items will have an impact on the company's revenue and profits.
