The Southern Theater Command organizes naval and aerial forces to conduct combat readiness patrols in the territorial waters and airspace of Huangyan Island.

On January 31st, the Southern Theater Command of the People's Liberation Army of China organized naval and air forces to conduct combat readiness patrols in the territorial waters and airspace of China's Huangyan Island and the surrounding sea and airspace. Huangyan Island is an inherent part of China's territory. Since January, the forces of the theater command have continuously strengthened patrols and vigilance in the waters and airspace around Huangyan Island. The publicly released flight route map shows that after the formation of H-6K bombers and fighter jets from the Southern Theater Command reached the airspace of Huangyan Island, they patrolled the airspace in the southeast direction.
