Supreme People's Procuratorate: The overall trend of trafficking in women is decreasing.

Hou Yahui, Director of the General Crime Prosecution Department of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, introduced on January 31st the situation of judicial protection in the field of people's livelihood. He stated that the procuratorial organs have been continuously participating in the national special action against trafficking in women and children. From January to November 2025, procuratorial organs nationwide have approved the arrest of more than 400 individuals involved in trafficking women, and have prosecuted nearly a thousand people. Through continuous crackdown and governance, this type of crime is showing a downward trend overall.
