Ministry of Finance: Total lottery sales nationwide in December amounted to 52.349 billion yuan, a decrease of 9.1%.

According to the data from the Ministry of Finance, in December, the total national lottery sales amounted to 52.349 billion yuan, a decrease of 5.22 billion yuan from the same period last year, a decrease of 9.1%. Among them, welfare lottery sales by organizations were 17.296 billion yuan, a decrease of 1.834 billion yuan from the same period last year, a decrease of 9.6%; and sports lottery sales by organizations were 35.054 billion yuan, a decrease of 3.385 billion yuan from the same period last year, a decrease of 8.8%. From January to December, the total national lottery sales amounted to 627.969 billion yuan, an increase of 4.483 billion yuan from the same period last year, an increase of 0.7%. Among them, welfare lottery sales by organizations were 208.577 billion yuan, an increase of 0.621 billion yuan from the same period last year, an increase of 0.3%; and sports lottery sales by organizations were 419.392 billion yuan, an increase of 3.862 billion yuan from the same period last year, an increase of 0.9%.
