The State Council Information Office held a press conference, where the National Development and Reform Commission and other departments introduced the situation and work arrangements for the 2026 Spring Festival travel rush. Li Chunlin, Deputy Director of the National Development and Reform Commission, stated that transportation authorities in the railway, highway, waterway, and civil aviation sectors will strengthen the analysis of passenger flow demand, increase the supply of transportation capacity during peak periods on key routes in high-demand areas, and maximize the satisfaction of the public's travel needs. Efforts will also be made to coordinate the transportation of important goods, especially energy supplies, daily necessities, and spring farming supplies. Education, human resources, culture, tourism departments, and labor unions will guide students and migrant workers to travel during off-peak times.
