The China Aerospace Science and Technology Group announced today that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, they will plan to promote the development of new areas such as space tourism, space digital infrastructure, space resource development, and space traffic management. Space Tourism: Accelerate the iteration and formation of suborbital and orbital space tourism spacecraft products, complete relevant unmanned or manned flight verification, establish a sound space tourism operation system, realize suborbital space tourism flight operation, and gradually develop orbital space tourism. Space Digital: Build gigawatt-level space digital infrastructure, create a new type of integrated space system architecture combining cloud, edge, and end, achieve deep integration of computing power, storage capacity, and operating capacity, empower "sky computing", "earth computing", and "joint sky and earth computing". Space Resources: Conduct major special demonstrations for the development of space resources, build a comprehensive experimental system for space resource development and ground support systems, focus on breakthroughs in key technologies such as small celestial body resource exploration, intelligent autonomous mining, low-cost transfer and transportation, and on-orbit processing. Space Traffic: Manage and carry out key technology research on space debris monitoring, early warning, and removal to lay a solid foundation for China to take the initiative in the formulation of international rules for space traffic management and to provide security for the safe operation of space infrastructure.
