Venezuela announced the establishment of the National Office of Cyber Defense and Security.

On January 28th local time, Venezuela's acting president Delcy Rodriguez announced the establishment of the National Office for Network Defense and Security to strengthen the protection of the country's cyberspace and maintain online security. Rodriguez emphasized that Venezuela should learn from the events that occurred in the early hours of January 3rd, and called on Venezuelan scientists and technology experts to collaborate with the Military Science Committee to integrate defensive capabilities in the field of technology, in order to collectively safeguard the security of the country's cyberspace.
