Wang Yi meets with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Bayramov

On the 28th, Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs, held talks in Beijing with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Bayramov. Wang Yi stated that President Xi Jinping met with President Aliyev twice last year and jointly announced the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Azerbaijan. Both sides should strengthen strategic alignment, take high-quality construction of the "Belt and Road" as a guide, and assist in the modernization of both countries. China is willing to actively support Azerbaijan in hosting this year's Asian Security Summit. Bayramov stated that Azerbaijan supports President Xi Jinping's four major global initiatives and is willing to join the "Group of Friends of Global Governance". Azerbaijan has always adhered to the One China principle and is willing to expand exchanges and cooperation with China in the fields of economy, trade, investment, connectivity, science and technology, education, and tourism.
