Starbucks announced a key sales indicator showing growth for the second consecutive quarter, indicating that the comprehensive transformation led by new CEO Brian Niccol is gradually showing results. The company reported a 4% year-on-year increase in global same-store sales for the most recent fiscal quarter on Wednesday, slightly exceeding analyst expectations and continuing the positive momentum that started after the long period of decline in the previous quarter. This consecutive growth indicates that the large-scale reforms driven by Niccol since taking office in 2024 are beginning to have a real impact. Same-store sales in the most important market, the United States, also increased by 4%. JPMorgan analyst Andy Barish stated before the financial report that the company must continue to increase sales in the second half of the 2026 fiscal year to improve profitability and justify the current substantial investments.
