As of the end of 2025, the total number of telephone users in the country reached 1.987 billion households, with a net increase of 30.91 million households for the whole year. Among them, the total number of mobile phone users was 1.827 billion households, with a net increase of 37.25 million households, and the penetration rate was 130 phones per 100 people, an increase of 2.9 phones per 100 people compared to the end of the previous year. Specifically, the number of 5G mobile phone users reached 1.204 billion households, accounting for 65.9% of mobile phone users, an increase of 9.2 percentage points compared to the end of the previous year. The total number of fixed-line telephone users was 160 million households, with a net decrease of 6.337 million households for the whole year, and the penetration rate was 11.4 phones per 100 people, a decrease of 0.4 phones per 100 people compared to the end of the previous year.
