He briefly introduced the development situation during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period in our province and the overall thinking in planning and promoting the development of the "15th Five-Year Plan". He said that since its establishment, the Hong Kong Guangdong Community Association has always adhered to the tenet of loving the country, loving Hong Kong, and loving the hometown. They have united and led the Guangdong community and fellow villagers in Hong Kong to firmly support the Hong Kong SAR government in governing in accordance with the law, developing the economy, improving people's livelihoods, and making important contributions to maintaining Hong Kong's long-term prosperity and stability. Currently, the great endeavors of building a strong country and achieving national rejuvenation have entered an irreversible historical process. It is hoped that the Association will continue to promote the fine traditions, take the lead in firmly supporting the "one country, two systems" policy and the principle of "patriots governing Hong Kong", lead and encourage the vast number of fellow villagers in Hong Kong and Hong Kong compatriots to enhance their national identity, and better promote the integration of Hong Kong into and serving the overall development of the country. These two days, Guangdong is holding its provincial two sessions, focusing on implementing the series of important speeches and instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on Guangdong, planning and arranging the work for the "15th Five-Year Plan" period and this year in accordance with the decisions of the Party Central Committee. Guangdong must accomplish the mission and tasks entrusted by General Secretary Xi, create new advantages, and achieve new breakthroughs on the new journey, which requires the deep participation of Hong Kong compatriots, especially fellow villagers in Hong Kong, and joint efforts to move forward. Last year, Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao jointly hosted the 15th Games and achieved great success, becoming a milestone in the integrated development of the three regions, fully demonstrating the unique advantages of "one country, two systems" and the vast prospects of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area construction. It also illustrates the unlimited space and potential for strengthened cooperation between Guangdong and Hong Kong. It is hoped that the Association will fully leverage the advantages of its network and ties to encourage fellow villagers in Hong Kong to actively participate in the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, focus on deepening rules connectivity and mechanism docking, offer advice and assistance, promote cooperation in various fields such as economy and trade, scientific innovation, education, culture, people's livelihoods, and youth exchange between Guangdong and Hong Kong, and jointly accelerate the construction of an international first-class bay area and world-class city cluster. At the same time, deepen participation in Guangdong's modern industrial system construction, implementation of the "High-quality development of hundreds of counties, thousands of towns, and tens of thousands of villages" project, and ecological construction in Guangdong, actively engage the Hong Kong business community, bring back more emerging industries, quality projects, advanced technologies, and valuable experiences to the hometown, and write a new chapter of dedication and common development.
