The US media says the United States is pushing for the CIA to establish a permanent presence in Venezuela.

According to CNN today citing sources, the United States, after resorting to force in Venezuela, forcibly controlling and taking President Maduro and his wife away, is "working to establish a permanent presence of the Central Intelligence Agency in Venezuela." The report states, "Although the US Department of State is the primary long-term diplomatic representative agency of the US, due to Venezuela being 'in a political transition period and with unstable security situation,' the Trump administration may heavily rely on the CIA to initiate the so-called return process." This report has not been further confirmed at the moment.
