French state-owned railway company recently introduced child-free quiet zones on some of its high-speed trains, sparking controversy over allegations of discrimination. According to a report by the British newspaper The Independent on the 26th, these quiet zones are located in some first-class carriages on trips to and from Paris, with limited passenger capacity and strict restrictions on passenger types - prohibiting children under 12 from riding. The aim is to protect passengers' privacy and provide a "quiet, exclusive space on board".
