Gansu Province has initiated a level III emergency response for earthquake relief. There are currently no reports of casualties.
The reporter learned from the Emergency Management Department of Gansu Province that at 14:56 on January 26th, a 5.5 magnitude earthquake occurred in Diebu County, Gannan Prefecture, Gansu Province, with a depth of 10 kilometers. Gannan, Longnan, Dingxi, Tianshui and other areas felt the strong tremors. After the earthquake, the Gansu Provincial Earthquake Relief Headquarters immediately activated a level III emergency response for earthquake relief, dispatched a working group to the scene to guide the affected areas in conducting disaster assessment, monitoring and early warning, consultation and assessment, and emergency relief work. Fire and rescue forces were mobilized with disaster relief equipment to inspect the affected areas, and nearby rescue teams were mobilized to standby and prepare for cross-regional reinforcements.
