Chengdu Education Bureau reports "Primary school forces teachers to participate in annual meeting performances"

The Education Bureau of Jinjiang District in Chengdu City reported on January 25th that recently, there have been complaints from the public about the "mandatory participation of teachers in the annual meeting performance" at the Huayuan Campus of Chengdu Normal University Affiliated Primary School. The Education Bureau of the district immediately launched an investigation and disposal. After verification, it was found that the school had originally planned to hold an end-of-term semester summary meeting, during which teachers were supposed to participate in various forms of presentations and exchanges in the storytelling about educating people, which caused dissatisfaction among the teachers. The district Education Bureau has instructed the school to immediately cancel the segment of storytelling about educating people on January 22nd, and informed all teachers on the same day. The complainants were also informed of the handling result and they understood the decision.
