Recently, there have been false information circulating online such as "Actor Sun Tao live supports Yan Xuejing", "Sun Tao sells miscellaneous grains in live stream", "Sun Tao releases apology letter", "Sun Tao participates in the rehearsal of the 2026 Spring Festival Gala", etc. The Douyin truth-seeking team has verified the account and found no evidence that Sun Tao has mentioned the Yan Xuejing incident in his past live streams and videos. Furthermore, according to statements from the individuals involved and media reports, the claims of "selling miscellaneous grains in live stream", "releasing apology letter", and "participating in the 2026 Spring Festival Gala rehearsal" are also false information. The rumors originated from malicious hype by marketing accounts, and have been debunked by the individuals involved and authoritative media. The Douyin operations team continues to strictly deal with the situation, launching the "truth-seeking card" to address the aforementioned rumors in relevant hot topics and search results, and releasing a debunking video on the official Douyin truth-seeking account. The related rumors have been added to the database, and over 8000 videos have been removed from the platform, with the accounts originating the rumors being banned. The platform has also taken measures in the comment section and search keywords, clearing more than 60,000 comments. In response to the online bullying Sun Tao has faced, the platform initiated a protection mechanism for his account starting from January 7, handling over 170,000 negative comments and bullet comments, banning 7 accounts for commenting for 7 to 30 days, and will continue to monitor the situation.
