The Governor of Nario Province in southern Colombia, Escoval, confirmed on the 23rd that there was an explosion in a rural area of Tumaco City in the province, resulting in at least 7 deaths and 8 injuries. According to local media reports, Escoval stated that there is no evidence to suggest that the explosion is related to local armed conflicts.
