The US military attacked a "drug smuggling boat" in the East Pacific Ocean, resulting in the death of two people.

The U.S. Southern Command announced on social media on the 23rd that the U.S. "Southern Spear" Joint Special Operations Task Force conducted a strike on a "drug trafficking ship" identified as a "terrorist organization" in the East Pacific on the same day, killing two people on board. The message stated that there was intelligence showing that the ship was "sailing along well-known drug smuggling routes in the East Pacific and engaging in drug smuggling activities." In this operation, two "drug terrorist" individuals on the ship were killed, with one person surviving. The message also stated that after the attack, the U.S. Southern Command immediately informed the U.S. Coast Guard to initiate a search system to find survivors.
