During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the import and export trade of goods in Hainan Province exceeded one trillion yuan.

According to statistics from Haikou Customs, during the period of the "14th Five-Year Plan", the import and export of goods by enterprises in Hainan reached 1.13 trillion yuan, breaking the trillion-yuan mark for the first time, and increasing by 19.2% compared to the "13th Five-Year Plan" period. Among them, exports were 379.28 billion yuan, an increase of 21.6%; imports were 752.42 billion yuan, an increase of 18.1%. The scale of foreign trade has surged, with growth rate ranking at the forefront of the country. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the scale of Hainan's goods trade has continuously surpassed two trillion yuan marks, from 934.7 billion yuan in 2020 to 2.76 trillion yuan in 2025, with an average annual growth rate of 24.1%, which is faster than the national average at the same period by 17 percentage points, ranking fourth in the country. Among them, exports grew at an average annual rate of 27.9%, faster by 19.4 percentage points; imports grew at an average annual rate of 22.4%, faster by 17.1 percentage points.
