On January 22, local time, it was reported that the German company Wackenheim announced that it will no longer continue negotiations with the South Korean Doosan Group's subsidiary Doosan Bobcat regarding the acquisition of its company shares. The German company had previously stated last month that it was in "in-depth negotiations" with Doosan Bobcat regarding the "acquisition of approximately 63% of the shares," including purchasing shares from major shareholders and making a public all-cash tender offer to the remaining shareholders. Wackenheim stated in a statement that the company will continue to focus on achieving sustainable growth strategies. Doosan Bobcat, in its company announcement, stated that it had evaluated the acquisition of Wackenheim but decided not to proceed further, without specifying the reasons for the termination.
