National Healthcare Security Administration: Promoting the basic uniformity of medical service prices across the country.

On January 20, 2026, the National Healthcare Security Administration held a "Price Approval Empowers the Development of Medical Technology Innovation Sharing Activity" in Beijing. Officials from relevant units of the National Healthcare Security Administration provided in-depth interpretations of the support for precise medical care and remote medical care under the price approval, as well as the application of new scenarios on a large scale. Academician Zhang Xu from the PLA General Hospital and Academician Bian Xiuwu from the First Affiliated Hospital of the Army Medical University respectively introduced surgical robots, remote surgery, and cutting-edge research results in pathology diagnosis. Representatives from enterprises introduced surgical robots, digitalized pathology diagnosis products and services, while representatives from investment institutions presented new trends in the medical device investment market. Next, the National Healthcare Security Administration will comprehensively complete the compilation of approval guidelines, promote the realization of basic national unity in medical service price projects, start to improve the management measures for new medical service price projects, explore carrying out pre-approval work for prices, guide localities to improve the acceptance and review quality and efficiency of new price projects, accelerate clinical transformation, stabilize market expectations, and ensure that the public obtains high-quality, efficient, and affordable medical services.
