The Congo will hold presidential elections on March 15th.

On January 21st, the government spokesperson of the Republic of Congo announced that the presidential election in the country is scheduled to be held on March 15th. According to the country's constitution, the presidential election must be held between 30 and 40 days before the end of the current president's term. The current president, Denis Sassou-Nguesso, was sworn in on April 16, 2021, and the ruling party, the Congolese Labour Party, has officially nominated him as their candidate for the election.
