Guangzhou: Strive to issue the overall development plan for Nansha at the national level and promote the comprehensive development and opening up of Nansha.
During this year's Guangzhou Two Sessions, Wu Sa, Secretary and Director of the Party Group of the Guangzhou Development and Reform Commission, stated that in 2026, efforts will be made to promote the comprehensive development and opening of Nansha. It will strive to have the national-level overall development plan for Nansha issued, fully connect with the governance reports of Hong Kong and Macau, and the "Five-Year Plan" of Macau. High standards will be set for the construction of the Nansha Science City, strengthening the functions of platforms such as the Guangzhou Futures Exchange and the Greater Bay Area Shipping Joint Exchange Center. Efforts will be made to establish a comprehensive service base for Chinese enterprises going global, promote the establishment of an international commercial bank in the Greater Bay Area, and work with the Hong Kong and Macau systems to advance the "Five Ports Linkage", supporting Nansha in learning from and drawing on the institutional opening up experiences of the Hainan free trade port.
