Macau's gambling industry expands its workforce by nearly 100,000 employees.

As of mid-January 2026, six integrated tourism and leisure enterprises in Macau have successively announced their bonus distribution and salary increase plans. The forms of bonus distribution are slightly different, but generally they are non-recurring rewards equivalent to about one month's salary. This salary increase plan shows a high level of consistency, as all companies have uniformly increased the salaries of employees earning 16,000 Macau dollars or less by 500 Macau dollars, and provided a salary increase of about 2% for higher-paid employees earning more than 16,000 Macau dollars per month. Approximately 99% of grassroots employees will receive a salary increase, with this wave of salary increases covering nearly 100,000 employees.
