The yield on US government bonds has reached a new high since September of last year.
The mid- to long-term US Treasury bond yields have jumped due to the sharp decline in the Japanese bond market affecting global markets. The yield on 30-year US Treasury bonds rose by more than 0.09 percentage points, reaching above 4.93%. The yield on 10-year US Treasury bonds rose to 4.3%. Data shows that both of these yields have reached their highest levels since September 3 last year.
