Recently, the Beijing Municipal Planning and Natural Resources Commission and the Municipal Development and Reform Commission jointly issued the "2026 Construction Land Supply Plan for Beijing." In 2026, it is expected that about 3240-3740 hectares of construction land will be implemented throughout the city, with a planned allocation of 3040-3540 hectares of new construction land, including 2430-2530 hectares of urban and rural construction land and 610-1010 hectares of special water use land, supporting the revitalization of over 200 hectares of low-efficiency industrial and commercial office building land. The land supply plan includes 200-240 hectares of residential land, with priority given to developing and constructing in areas around rail stations, areas with well-established facilities, and areas with high employment density. The plan also aims to optimize the supply of affordable housing, prioritizing the transformation of existing stock while moderately increasing supply as a supplement, with 350 hectares allocated for affordable housing land.
