Qinghai: Reduce the production capacity of Golmud Cangge Potassium Fertilizer Co., Ltd. from 2 million tons to 1.2 million tons.

The Department of Industry and Information Technology of Qinghai Province today released an announcement on the reduction of the potassium chloride production capacity of Golmud Cangge Potassium Fertilizer Co., Ltd. The announcement indicates that due to the serious depletion of mineral resources in the mining area owned by Golmud Cangge Potassium Fertilizer Co., Ltd., and the outdated production facilities with low resource utilization rate, in order to continue to promote the sustainable development and utilization of salt lake resources, a new plan for the development and utilization of potassium-magnesium salt mine resources in the mining section of Chaharhan salt lake in Golmud City, Qinghai Province has been formulated, and the company has voluntarily applied for a reduction in production capacity. After considering the opinions of the city and relevant departments, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Qinghai Province has agreed to reduce the potassium chloride production capacity of Golmud Cangge Potassium Fertilizer Co., Ltd. from 2 million tons to 1.2 million tons.
