BHP Billiton (BHP.N) expects its copper production to decrease by 4% year-on-year to 490,500 tons in the second quarter; iron ore production to increase by 5% year-on-year to 69.7 million tons; steel coal production to decrease by 3% year-on-year to 4.3 million tons; and thermal coal production to increase by 25% year-on-year to 4.6 million tons.
