Several passenger ferry routes in the Jiangsu section of the Yangtze River have been suspended, and some vessels are prohibited from sailing.
The reporter learned from the Jiangsu Maritime Bureau that, due to the impact of the cold wave and strong winds, multiple ferry routes in the Jiangsu section of the Yangtze River have been temporarily suspended, and the maritime department has implemented navigation restrictions on some vessels. Currently, the maritime department has implemented temporary control measures for small vessels, requiring small vessels below 80 meters and inland container vessels, roll-on/roll-off vessels, relevant dangerous goods vessels, and towing fleets in the downstream section of the Yangtze River in Jiangsu to suspend navigation. As of 7:00 pm on January 19th, 18 passenger ferry routes have been suspended, 1072 personnel involved in water construction have been evacuated, and 6078 small vessels have been controlled.
