According to a report from Canada's Global Mail on the 18th, the Canadian government is considering sending a small contingent of troops to Greenland to participate in a military exercise led by Denmark, in order to show support for Denmark. The report cited two unnamed Canadian government officials as saying that the Canadian Armed Forces are awaiting final approval from Prime Minister Kani. If the plan is approved, Canadian soldiers could potentially be sent to Greenland as early as this week to participate in the "Arctic Endurance" military exercise led by Denmark on the island.
