Director of the National Bureau of Statistics: Consumption should be viewed from multiple perspectives.

On January 19th, the director of the National Bureau of Statistics, Kang Yi, stated at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office that, from the perspective of consumption types, there are mainly goods consumption and services consumption, and the corresponding statistical indicators are the total retail sales of consumer goods and the retail sales of services. Both of these indicators are calculated from the sales side of enterprises. We also have indicators for consumption statistics from the demand side, such as per capita consumption expenditure of residents. It is important to look at consumption from multiple perspectives.
