Jiangsu Provincial Meteorological Bureau initiates Level IV emergency response for major meteorological disasters.
On January 18th, the official website of the Jiangsu Provincial Meteorological Bureau announced that according to the latest meteorological data analysis, from January 18th to 23rd, Jiangsu Province will experience widespread cold waves, strong winds, low temperatures, rain, snow, and freezing weather, with moderate to heavy snow and locally heavy snow in the central and northern regions. The minimum temperature in the province will drop by 8-11, locally 12-13, accompanied by strong northerly winds of 7-8 on land and 8-9 in river, lake and nearshore areas. From January 21st to 23rd, the whole province will continue to experience low temperature freezing. The Jiangsu Provincial Meteorological Observatory has issued a yellow cold wave warning and a yellow warning for strong winds at sea. After comprehensive assessment and emergency consultations, the Jiangsu Provincial Meteorological Bureau's offices, disaster reduction department, observation department, forecast department, provincial office, climate center, information center, detection center, service center, warning release center, innovation institute, disaster prevention technology center, and organizational service center have initiated a level IV emergency response to major meteorological disasters.
