At the 2026 work conference of the Shanxi Bureau of the China National Mining Safety Supervision Administration held on the 17th, it was revealed that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Shanxi's coal production increased by 19 billion tons compared to the "13th Five-Year Plan" period. The number of coal mine accidents has decreased for four consecutive years, with the number of accidents and fatalities in 2025 decreasing by 72.4% and 71.4%, respectively, compared to 2021. The death rate per million tons decreased by 73.7%.
