The China-ASEAN Artificial Intelligence Industry Innovation Center will be established in 2026.

From the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, it was learned that the sixth China-ASEAN Digital Ministerial Meeting held that day passed the "2026 China-ASEAN Digital Cooperation Plan", clearly establishing the China-ASEAN Digital Academy and the China-ASEAN Artificial Intelligence Industry Innovation Center within the year, and carrying out exchange and cooperation in the fields of digital and information communication infrastructure, open source, digital security, etc. The meeting also passed the "China-ASEAN Action Plan for Establishing Sustainable and Inclusive Digital Ecosystem Cooperation", clearly stating that in the next five years, the two sides will strengthen cooperation in policy exchange and strategic alignment, digital infrastructure construction, innovative applications of emerging digital technologies, and other areas.
