China Nuclear Power announced that the first unit of the Jiangsu Xuxu Nuclear Power Heating and Power Generation Plant, in which it holds a controlling interest, is scheduled to pour the first concrete of the nuclear island on January 16, 2026. The unit uses the "Hualong-1" nuclear power technology with a rated power of 1.222 million kilowatts. After the completion of this unit, the company's controlling interest in nuclear power units under construction will reach 15.148 million kilowatts.
