Deep Blue Auto Deng Chenghao: The leap from L2 to L3 is a huge leap in responsibility.
"The leap from L2 to L3 is a huge one, and behind this leap is the judgement of the responsible parties, with completely different safety requirements for us." On December 26th, at a media briefing in Chongqing, before China's first batch of 46 L3 level autonomous vehicles with official license plates officially hit the road in scale, Deep Blue Car Chairman Deng Chenghao expressed his views. Deng Chenghao believes that as the industry develops, the complexity of determining the responsible parties in the L3 era is increasing, and it is essential to improve traffic regulations and the insurance system. Deng Chenghao also mentioned that currently, L3 level autonomous driving is not yet open to the general consumer. Although Deep Blue Car has obtained official licenses and can legally hit the road, it is still in an "exploration period" at this stage, and vehicles must be equipped with professionally certified drivers. In the future, it will still be necessary to wait for relevant laws and regulations and management systems to further improve before gradually opening up to C-end users.
