Maduro: The friendship between Cuba and Venezuela can withstand any test.

On December 26th local time, Venezuelan President Maduro stated that the people of Cuba and Venezuela must together prove to the world that war, military threats, and colonialism have no place in Latin America and the Caribbean. Maduro made the remarks while attending an official event in the capital city of Caracas. He emphasized that the era of colonialism and slavery is long gone, stating that "no Venezuelan is willing to be anyone's slave, just as no Cuban is willing to be anyone's slave." Maduro stressed that the people of Cuba and Venezuela are the strongest force driving the reunity of Latin America and the Caribbean, and that the two countries have overcome various challenges together, with their friendship standing the test of time.
