Shanxi province completes market-based electricity price bidding for the first time for newly added renewable energy projects.

The journalist learned from the State Grid Shanxi Provincial Power Company that the results of the market-based electricity price bidding for incremental new energy projects in Shanxi Province in 2025 were officially announced recently. The market-based electricity price bidding for incremental new energy projects in Shanxi Province was completed for the first time, marking a transition from policy design to practical operation in the marketization reform of new energy grid-connected electricity prices in Shanxi. It is reported that the bidding work started on November 20th and ended with the announcement of results on December 23rd, lasting for 35 days. A total of 4946 projects were successfully selected, with a total electricity capacity of 54.57 billion kilowatt-hours. Among them, the wind power projects had an electricity capacity of 14.82 billion kilowatt-hours, with a price of 284.66 yuan per megawatt-hour; and the photovoltaic projects had an electricity capacity of 39.75 billion kilowatt-hours, with a price of 319.99 yuan per megawatt-hour. All selected projects will implement the 10-year mechanism electricity price policy, providing clear market expectations for the stable development of new energy enterprises.
